The pair formed by Erik Shukhart and Maxim Danilin, both players of the EIBGA Junior Elite Program, have delighted us by winning the 2019 Catalonia Men’s Double Championship, held on the 26th and 27th of January at the Stadium Course of the PGA Catalunya Resort.
Playing Foursome Scratch, Erik and Maxim already dominated the event in the first round with a card of 73 shots, with their most direct rivals at one shot. In the second and final round on Sunday our boys maintained their dominance, and with a second score of 74 shots they achieved a clear victory of 147 shots, an advantage of six over the second pair on the leaderboard. Congratulations!
We’d also like to congratulate the magnificent results of the EIBGA players in the Grand Prix 2019 event of the Federació Catalana de Golf at Peralada Golf the previous weekend. On the 19th and 20th of January our Alisa Khokhlova finished first tied in the Women’s Scratch category, while Maxim Danilin was third tied in the Men’s Scratch category.
