Our elite golf players love competing, and the fruits of their training are already starting to show in the EIBGA at the beginning of this 2019 season. Some of our players were protagonists of the first Puntuable Zonal Juvenil of Catalonia event of 2019, valid for the RFEG Ranks, during the weekend of 9 and 10 March, held at Lumine Golf (Tarragona).
With the best young players of Catalan golf in action, 120 players of the Cadet, Boys and Benjamin categories gathered in the Lakes, Hills and Ruins courses in two exciting days. In the Cadet female category, played at the Lakes, Alisa Khokhlova was the winner with 144 shots. In the Boys category, Joan Panissello ranked second with 154 shots. And in the Cadet male category, Álvaro Palomar was third with 157 shots. All of them lowered their handicaps a few tenths.
In another event, Maxim Danilin took part in the Puntuable National RFEG Men’s Cadet held in the , with two very good first rounds of 74 and 73 shots, which allowed him to start on the last lap in the leader group. He didn’t have his best day (82), but he achieved a meritorious 11th position.
