For Barcelona Golf Academy we feel very proud to have had one of its disciples, Nina Rissi, representing Brazil, playing the recent World Amateur Team Championships (WATC), Espirito Santo Trophy, held from 24 to 27 August near Paris, in France.
She played on two iconic golf courses: Le Golf National, venue of the French Open, the 2018 Ryder Cup and the golf course for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games; and Le Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, home of the Trophee Lancome from 1970 to 2003, and the French Open from 1965 to 1969.
In the Brazilian team were Nina Rissi, Valentina Bosselmann and Martina Nonaka. Our player, who was accompanied by our Head Coach Carlos Vivas, signed four rounds of 75, 75, 83 and 77 shots, with a total of 310 (+24), which placed her as the best player from Brazil, in the 101st place at the individual rank, out of a total of 165 golfers.
Finally, Brazil came in 43rd position among 56 participating countries, with Sweden, USA, Germany, Japan and Spain at the Top-5 finishers.
Quite an experience!
