Our Head Golf Coach Carlos Vivas returned to U.S. as a PGA professional from 21st to 25th January to attend the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando (Florida). The first day was very instructive, perfect for experiencing the atmosphere of the golf industry, enjoying the Demo Day and the Open Forum, the former being a real American circus for golfers, and latter for coaches.
During the conferences, Carlos attended the seminar given by Paul Dewman, an expert of the mental game, who talked about the differences in the psychological work of a junior golfer, a club golfer and a Tour golfer.
But to get the very best out of the trip, Carlos visited Dr. Robert Neal, EIBGA biomechanics advisor and creator of the 3D Golf BioDynamics software that we use with our pupils at the academy, to catch up on the latest technological innovations.
Three days of intense activity that Carlos shared with Rob, first to get in touch with the new specific pitching software, the second day at Bishops Gate Golf Academy working with some juniors and Rob, and the third day with Rob and Patrick PGA, from Baltimore, going deeper in the pitching software.
Very soon we’ll be able to use all this at the EIBGA in the Club de Golf Barcelona. That’s a promise!
