The team of the Federacio Catalana de Golf has won the Infantil’s Interautonomic Championship, and one of its players is Jan Farré, member of the Club de Golf Barcelona and the Barcelona Golf Academy.
The championship, for regional federations, was held at the Real Club de Golf de La Coruña, the second week of October in Galicia, with a spectacular triumph by the boys and girls members of FCGolf led by Maria Safont, Marc Perez and Critina Lagarma. The team won in the grand final against the Canary Islands team for a tight 3-2.
In the quarter finals, Aragon was beaten by 4-1, and in Semifinals the Comunitat Valenciana was won by 3-2. Then the final duel for the title started with a clear 6/4 victory for Marina Mitjans and Adriana García Terol over the Canarian couple. Then Yago Izquierdo and Eric Díaz gave up for a tight 1Up, leaving the match on an equal score facing the individuals.
Jan Farré perfectly fulfilled his mission, clearly beating Iván Bravo by 5/4. Then Nicolau Molas suffered against Rafael González, and the canary finally beat the Catalan by 3/2.
Everything was in the hands of Nagore Martínez, in a duel against Ana Malcolm. And the young Catalan did well, beating her rival by 3/2 and achieving the final point for Catalonia to take home a title that it hasn’t won since 2015.
Congratulations Jan, another triumph, and one of the big ones, in your bag!
