Last Saturday 5th of March the Club de Golf Barcelona hosted the 20th Benjamín/Alevin Pro-Am, organized by the Federació Catalana de Golf, so we were especially excited to play it and do well on our own course and in front of our fans.
Here the golf teachers have played together with their younger pupils to familiarize them with the competition and the most important thing was to enjoy playing golf, create a team, learn how to act correctly on the course and resolve game situations. The leaderboard was secondary.
The Executive Course of Club de Golf Barcelona was the chosen scenario, bringing together a total of 24 teams, made up by a professional, and three players from the Benjamin and Alevin first-year categories. With 51 shots, Can Cuyás Golf was the best on Saturday morning, achieving first place with a team made up with Enol Ramos, Joaquín Martínez and Aleix Torrens, with the professional Eloi Hernando at the helm.
The second place, just two shots away, with 53, went to one of the Club de Golf Barcelona teams, with Leonardo Oliver, Anis Hababou and Álvaro de Castro, led by Carlos Vivas, Head Coach of the Barcelona Golf Academy.
Also with 53 strokes was the second team of Club de Golf Barcelona, with Biel Domenech, Aaron Gil and Gustav Guillen, together with the professional Sergio González; while the club’s third team finished with 69 hits, with Mert Gunor, Anna de la Fuente and María Gordillo, also led by Sergio González.
It was a great morning session that ended with the awards ceremony, showing that the future of golf is in good hands.
