The continuous learning process of the Barcelona Golf Academy never stops, and that is why its Head Coach, Carlos Vivas, traveled to the United States last week with two important appointments on his agenda: to visit Dr. Robert Neal, coach and Golf BioDynamics advisor of our academy, and to attend the PGA Show, the world’s largest golf trade fair, held annually in Orlando.
The experience was very positive. In the first few days, Carlos had the privilege of assisting Robert in a short game clinic that he gave at one of the many golf courses around Orlando; and to attend different training classes for players on the Epson Tour, LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour.
One of the things that Carlos liked and that surprised him most was the large group of club professionals who came to receive a masterclass with Robert, learning from him and passing their swing through 3D, so that they could know enough to apply it to their pupils. Is not frequent. This is not very frequent in Catalonia and Spain, to see club teachers in Catalonia and Spain who want to take a class with other teachers they like, to learn from them. To grow their knowledge and their way of working with other more experienced coaches, who will teach you, from whom there is much to learn.
At the same time, Carlos had the opportunity to learn about the latest Golf BioDynamics software updates from Robert.
The last few days were spent visiting the PGA Show in Orlando, where Carlos Vivas attended the PGA of America for professionals congress. In addition, he visited several booths to keep up to date with the latest novelties and the most interesting trends, meet with international colleagues, make contacts and promote the Barcelona Golf Academy and the proposals of BGA Experiences.
